Devolved Quality Manager
(Part-time - 3 days per week)

We are looking for an experience Devolved Quality Manager to join our Quality Team, who is an organised and able to maintain relationships with a variety of stakeholders, whilst driving the quality improvement strategy. Summary of role
The Quality Partnerships manager will manage, drive and support quality improvement across the devolved nations and managed services where applicable.
Brief summary of principle accountabilities

Work with stakeholders to contribute to the design and implementation of the Quality Improvement Strategy, self-assessment and improvement planning processes in preparation for inspections and reviews.


Ensure robust assessment, verification processes and adherences are in place that are compliant with the relevant devolved awarding and governing bodies.


Ensure the ESFA and SDS subcontracting standards are fulfilled through effective monitoring and rigorous assessment of associated performance management frameworks and subcontractors’ management information, i.e. competency metric.


Conversant with Ofsted’s Education Inspection Framework and Skills Development Scotland’s (SDS) Quality Assurance and Improvement Framework ensuring these standards are fully embedded with all delivery and programme development.


Conversant with the Education & Training Foundation Professional Standards for teachers and trainers.


Champion the Education & Training Foundation Professional Standards for teachers and trainers across operational delivery to support and inspire professional learning and career development of Babington’s practitioners.


Support the Head of Quality and Partnership Performance Manager with appropriate provisions to enable the driving of success and progression rates in partnership with Heads of Delivery.


Work closely with the Heads of Delivery and Partnership Performance Managers to ensure they are proficient in-service standards in place.


Support the Heads of Delivery and Partnership Performance Managers to develop and implement best in-class operational service standards excellence utilising SAR/QIP/EIF/SDS.


Work with People and Talent in the management of performance regarding teaching quality and learner interaction, both identifying best practice and high performing talent within the business as well as any performance concerns.

Qualifications

Grade A-C GCSE in English and Maths or equivalent (E)
Level 4 Certificate in Education & Training (or equivalent) teaching qualification or equivalent (E)
Level 4 Certificate in the Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practice (D)
Level 3 Coaching & Mentoring qualification (D)

Skills and experience

Conversant with Ofsted Education Inspection Framework ensuring these standards are fully embedded with all delivery and programme development
Experience of delivering good or better Apprenticeship/work-based learning outcomes within the last two years
Experience of quality assuring a range of assessment methods including on and offline assessment using e-portfolios and online/on demand testing.
Experience of Data/MI analysis linked to business improvement.
Experience of leading face to face and remote observations and making judgments in line with the standards identified in the current Education Inspection Framework.
Experience of Quality improvement techniques and cycle.
Experience of leading within a continuously evolving environment.
Take a calm evidence-based approach to observations providing clear feedback and supporting others to improve their delivery standards.
Experience of conducting internal quality assurance of Financial Services portfolios.
