Crynodeb
Our new Trustee or Associate Trustee should be able to demonstrate appropriate professional skills to provide oversight of the activities of the Hospice and offer challenge and support to the Strategic Management Team. You will need to have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and an empathy with Hospice philosophy is essential. Successful applicants will have an induction and will start as an Associate Trustee for a six-month period. After the initial six-month period, for those candidates who do not want the full commitment that being a Trustee brings, will have the option to continue in their Associate Trustee role which would include attending four Care committee meetings a year, and the option to attend full board meetings, however, with no voting rights. Candidates who would like to become a full Trustee after the initial six-month period as an Associate Trustee would join the board as a voting member and attend four board meetings per annum as well as a Trustee meet the team walkaround once a year. Trustees are encouraged to attend fundraising events throughout the year.
