This is an exciting opportunity to join Team Caerphilly and provide support across the wider Digital Services Team.

We’re looking for talented and tenacious people who are highly motivated individuals to join our Digital Team to support and maintain the services that underpin the Council’s systems.
We use cutting-edge agile software development approaches to make rapid but meaningful improvements to public services. Caerphilly CBC is currently moving forward with its transformation programme and the successful candidate will be part of the team who will be driving digital transformation across the Council.
Senior Application Operations Engineers support, manage and maintain a single application or a suite of applications. They ensure applications are available within service level agreements (SLAs) and are working to design. Working within a multi-disciplinary team, their role is to maintain service levels and the security of the applications and the data they manage and carry out activities in incident, problem, change and configuration management and continual Service Improvement processes.
This role will be responsible for the maintenance of one or more of the legacy applications within the Council, which has a large number of users across the business estate.
For the role, we ask that you have:
1. A relevant Level 5 qualification on the Credit and Qualifications Framework for Wales (CQFW).
2. Knowledge of logical schemata to investigate problems, collect performance statistics and create reports.
3. Experience of taking ownership of incidents and proactively seeking resolutions.
