This is an exciting new role for a Band 8a Extended Scope Practitioner (Physiotherapist) within the foot and ankle team based at the University Hospital of North tees. The successful candidate will be seeing patients referred to the Consultant's for assessment, clinical diagnosis and management of foot and ankle disorders.

The post holder will ideally have experience in working within Orthopedics, including knowledge of a range of conditions and post op protocols.

We are looking for dedicated health care professionals who is flexible in their approach and possess the aptitude to adapt quickly to new situations. In return we will provide you with an induction support, and the opportunity to develop with the guidance of experienced Senior staff.

The successful candidate will work as part of the existing foot and ankle team and will be responsible for providing a specialist service for patients who require diagnosis/assessment and/or investigation and/or treatment of foot and ankle conditions.

The post holder will act independently in the management of an often complex caseload of foot and ankle patients. They will be independently responsible for diagnosis and treatment planning of foot and ankle patients. This will involve use of imaging and investigations and interpretation of results (with radiology report). It will involve knowledge of all possible multidisciplinary treatment pathways including Physiotherapy, surgery and orthotics.
