At Whittlebury Park we are looking for a dedicated customer service professional to join our front office reception team as Front office Reception manager.

Nestled in hundreds of acres of ancient parkland, Whittlebury Park offers an award-winning 254-bedroom four-star hotel, conference, and training centre.
We have award winning facilities including a 3 AA Rosette restaurant and a luxurious spa.

Salary:

From £33,000.00 per annum


What will you do?

As the Front office Reception manager, you will:

• consistently achieve the Front Desk, Porterage, Drivers, Nights, Switchboard, Duty Managers and Concierge service delivery standards

• provide a constant point of reference for guests and colleagues and be welcoming, knowledgeable and provide an accurate service to guests and colleagues

• ensure correct and efficient handling of payments, assisting in running a profitable department, making sure that up selling is maximised and budgets are achieved

• provide a comprehensive service that is based on welcome, hospitality, warmth and have a genuine desire to provide personal but not intrusive service through the delivery of high-quality customer service

• effectively communicate with the team by holding regular briefing sessions and attending hotel meetings as required

• check on a daily basis to ensure outstanding balances are kept to a minimum and that any billing queries or guests who depart with outstanding balance are followed through

• be the Front Office representative for Health & Safety and attend regular meetings as set by the company reporting back to the general manager with any updates and concerns.

• implement a training plan for all staff, ensuring that all training is signed off and training records are kept up to date and that all tasks carried out by reception staff, are done to the required standard

The hours of work can vary and will include weekends, late evenings, and holiday periods. This is a full time position working 45 hours per week.

As the ideal candidate you will be have a minimum of 3 years reception/ front office hotel experience in a similar sized business, and experiencing managing a team. You will promote good employee morale and ensure a high level of commitment and pride in the department. You will be eligible to work in the UK, have a Valid Full UK driving licence and the ability to attend an in person interview.

This list of duties cannot be exhaustive due to the requirements of the hotel industry. Therefore, you may be required from time to time to carry out reasonable tasks as requested by management.
