The role

Strategic Housing negotiate and deliver affordable housing and housing solutions in the County. We are seeking a well-motivated experienced professional to support and co-ordinate a busy housing team. A confident individual who is able to liaise with internal colleagues, external partners, MP’s, other local authorities, national bodies and the general public.

Ideally an individual with strong IT skills to develop and maintain a range of IT and other programmes and systems to effectively manage the project management and administrative functions of the team. Having the ability to use your initiative to identify gaps in support and make recommendations for the improvements within the service. Proficient with number and spreadsheets as accurate and timely financial information will need to be submitted to national bodies and produced for reports internally.

• You should be a good communicator who is able to work across the public, private sector and faith sector
• Be passionate about and have track record of making a difference to vulnerable people
• Demonstrate a flexible and innovative approach to working
• Be able to grasp a complex working environment and develop cohesive solutions to make services better for people.
• Have a basic knowledge of housing services
