We are seeking a new Diabetic Eye Screening Programme Manager to join our friendly team based within the North Yorkshire Diabetic Eye Screening Programme, at York and Scarborough Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

This York based role offers a unique opportunity for a driven individual to lead operational delivery for a National Diabetic Eye Screening Programme, aimed at preventing diabetic retinopathy and preserving sight.

With a focus on ensuring safe, effective, and timely screening clinics across North Yorkshire, the role presents significant challenges during population growth and service modernisation efforts.

The role presents an exciting opportunity to contribute to improving patient care and outcomes, through the delivery of high-quality screening services.

Candidates with a strong background in operational delivery, change management, and leadership are encouraged to apply and be part of NYDESPs mission to enhance patient care in North Yorkshire.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION: Interviews for this position will be held on Tuesday 11th June.
1. Operational Leadership: Lead the operational delivery of the screening programme, demonstrating initiative and adopting collaborative working relationships to ensure effective service provision.
2. Project Management: Drive projects and initiatives within NYDESP, contributing to the continuous improvement and modernisation of the screening programme.
3. Performance Management: Implement strategies for performance management, ensuring that screening clinics meet quality standards and performance targets.
4. Analytical Skills: Utilise well-developed analysis skills to assess programme performance, identify areas for improvement, and inform decision-making processes.
5. Communication: Serve as an effective communicator, both internally and externally, to promote the value of the screening programme and engage stakeholders at all levels.
6. Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively as part of a dynamic team, using collective expertise and resources to achieve common goals.
7. Change Management: Drive change management initiatives to adapt to the evolving needs of the diabetic population and to optimise service delivery.
8. Leadership: Provide strong leadership, inspiring and motivating team members to deliver high-quality screening services and improve patient outcomes.
