About the role

We are delighted to share a new opportunity for a People Operating Model Project Manager, reporting into the Head of Strategy & Planning, to lead end to end delivery of large-scale and/or complex People Operating Model projects.

This role is focused on ensuring key People Operating Model priorities have the right level of project management for end to end delivery and making sure milestones are met.

This role will see the successful candidate ensure project plans are aligned and dependencies managed through the broader programme plan. This includes managing risks, issues, actions, decisions & dependencies escalating where required. It is also important we understand and track efficiencies & benefits of Op Model changes, so this colleague will define and make sure we measure these.

You will be responsible for

  • End to end delivery of People Operating Model projects for the next 12 months, where the primary focus will be Talent Acquisition
  • Creating and maintaining project planning artefacts e.g. project plan, RAID logs aligned to Group Fundamentals tools and templates
  • Provide project status summary and reporting into relevant governance forums
  • Responsible for delivery of all business discovery & impact assessment​ to determine feasibility of a change initiative
  • Responsible for creation of business case & tracking delivery of benefits
  • Deliver to agreed timeline, and on budget, challenge and course correct the plan as required.
  • Act as first point of escalation for the project team
  • Manage all risks, issues, assumptions and dependencies within the project/release, escalating where appropriate
  • Ensure project plans are aligned and dependencies managed to the broader programme plan.
  • Adhere to planning and reporting standards as set by Group Programmes and Projects team
  • Participates in the community of practice for programmes and projects
  • Ensure milestones and key deliverables are realistic in line with key activities
  • Oversee and take corrective action where milestones are at risk
  • Identify and monitor key dependencies with other waves and other programmes
  • Identify and manage the project critical path
  • Identify At-Risk activities/deliverables and take corrective action
  • Lead the process for assessing change requests
  • Leads Lessons Learnt sessions & Post implementation reviews​ in conjunction with team members and other key stakeholders

You will need

  • Success in delivering complex programmes & projects
  • Building strong relationships, believing in each other & networking across teams, business units & hierarchy
  • Stakeholder management, across geographies
  • Experience working across the People team
  • Experience of Operating Model transformation
  • Experience of Talent Acquisition is beneficial
