About The Role

Due to the continued expansion of the business and increasing demands, we’re looking for a Credit Controller who will thrive in a busy operational environment to join our Credit Control team at Birchwood Park, Warrington.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced Administrator who wants to make the move in to a Credit Controller role or for a Credit Controller who is looking for a new opportunity

In this fast-paced role as a Credit Controller you’ll manage a large dynamic ledger of small to medium sized businesses across all Ashtead businesses. You’ll be comfortable managing your own workload and dealing with a high variety and volume of customers, maximising collections to agreed payment terms and working to agreed ageing and cash targets. Your duties will also involve liaising with colleagues in our Branch/Depot network, as you’ll identify and escalate queries whilst maintaining ownership through to resolution. Additionally, you’ll manage credit limits, including reviewing and approvals up to £20k.

To succeed as a Credit Controller you will bring the following skill-set and behaviours:

- Previous experience in a similar role in a high volume commercial credit department
- Self-motivated with a collaborative, team working approach
- Ability to demonstrate excellent administrative/organisational abilities and a keen eye for details and accuracy
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Able to work on own initiative.
- IT literate with a working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Excellent communication skills at all levels.
- Proven track record in a target driven environment
