Crynodeb
We are seeking a highly motivated registered nurse who is trained or in the process of training to become a nurse hysteroscopist or colposcopist. This position is an exciting opportunity to further develop the skills to become an independent practitioner in both hysteroscopy and colposcopy. Full support and training will be provided within our well established team of nurse hysteroscopists and colposcopists. Upon completion of all training requirements the post will advance to band 8a.

To provide expert and evidence based care and treatment that is consistent with the individual needs of the patient. To provide clinical advice within the specialist area to enable patients to make informed consent and decisions about their care and understand the rationale of the investigations and treatments.
To play a key role in ensuring gynae-oncology targets are met and to propose service changes to improve efficiency in conjunction with the Deputy Operations Manager and Lead Cancer Nurse
The post holder is a recognised expert in the specialty, responsible for assessing, developing and implementing specialist nursing care programmes and undertaking specialist nursing procedures
Responsible for providing specialist advice and support to, and liaising with, other staff. This includes the provision of specialist education and training for other staff and students
Responsible for implementing a clearly defined integrated approach to patient care encompassing new treatments and evidence based care
Required to undertake research and lead clinical audits in own specialist area
