Hallan Cash & Carry is a family run business with over 40years of experience in supplying specialist Asian food and ingredients to general public and wholesale for local restaurants.
Business operating hours- 08:00-19:00
Shift Hours- Any time within business operating hours with a degree of flexibility for working outside these hours as business requirements.
Minimum of 38 hours per week.
Days worked is arranged on a weekly basis.
12week probationary period.
Some aspects of training on the job and specified such as forklift training.
Statutory entitlements all apply.
Reporting to the shop managers.
Skills required
5 years of driving experience with clean licence for 3 years
Experience in forklift – However not essential as Training will be given
Good communication skills, friendly can do attitude to work Reading and writing skills Ability to follow instructions
Ability to follow company working, health & safety procedures
Ability to safely lift weights of 25kg Working with accuracy, efficiency and Honesty Role Profile
Accepting deliveries manually or by forklift, checking off and taking responsibility of goods received.
Breaking down pallets, safely stacking stock in the allocated spaces.
Creating picking lists for stock to be transported from the warehouse or back Picking orders from list, ensuring company safety standards are maintained at all times.
Picking and packing order for delivery, once checked to be delivered to wholesale customers. Checking off deliveries with customers obtaining signatures.
Providing the customer with the very best customer service experience.
Ensuring dates are checked and stock is rotated efficiently Transporting stock between warehouse and store.
Ensuring Health & Safety guidelines are followed at all times.
Complying with security guidelines are being.
Attend meeting when required Participate in required learning and development activities
Maintain employee and organisational confidentiality in line with data protection act.
