Role: Records Manager (Information & Data Governance) – SharePoint

Contract Length: Anticipated 6 months, possibly extended

Location: Hybrid working in Manchester (2-3 days per week in the office)

Pay Rate: Competitive Market Rate



We are seeking a candidate with a strong background in records management to lead the technical design of a SharePoint Online solution for a public sector organisation. The ideal candidate will have practical experience setting up both document and records libraries in SharePoint Online, as well as theoretical expertise in records management or archiving. This expertise will enable them to interpret and apply retention and disposal schedules/policies in the SharePoint environment, ensuring compliance with records management standards. Additionally, specialist knowledge of naming conventions and access controls is highly desirable.

Candidates should have hands-on experience setting up SharePoint Online for initial use and migrating records from network file shares and on-premises SharePoint sites.

Key requirements:

Worked in UK continuously for at least the last 3 years.
Resides in Greater Manchester/Northwest area
Experienced, knowledgeable in the selection, development, and implementation of Police Records Management system
Practical experience of setting up both document libraries and records libraries in SharePoint Online, and/or theoretical records management or archiving expertise
Practical experience in setting up SharePoint Online for first time use
Experience in migrating records from network file shares and on-premises SharePoint sites.
Excellent Report writing



Desirable

Specialist knowledge of naming conventions and access controls
Experience of Sharegate
Experience of working Policing / Public Sector
Experience and knowledge of Business / Data Analysis
