This is an incredible and rewarding position for a compassionate and kind person to assist a bright and polite young man who has brittle bones and relies on his wheelchair for his mobility needs.
The role requires 10 hours per week on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and infrequent Sundays from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The selected candidate has the option to work overtime as needed, with plenty of notice provided.
It is an excellent occasion to work during nursery and school hours, making it an ideal mother-friendly opportunity that allows for a flexible work-life balance with childcare responsibilities.
The individual will need help with light household tasks, daily activities, odd shopping errands, and exciting adventure outings of his choice. He requires help with all aspects of personal care and relies on his carer to provide this.
Duties will take place in a quiet, clean, and safe home environment occupied by the service user, his mother, and his primary carer, who provides her help on separate occasions.
The successful candidate must be in excellent health to transport the individual in his (manual) adapted vehicle in a care-driven manner, as well as be willing to drive on motorways and attend to some occasional medical appointments with some flexibility required.
Applicants must be at least 25 years old and hold a valid, clean UK driving licence to drive the adapted vehicle covered by the insurance policy provided.
