We have an exciting opportunity for an Equine Yard Technician to join our Equine Department/Team here at our York campus. This role will be working 14.8 hours per week on a part time basis. Weekend work may be required.
We are seeking an individual who will be responsible for assisting the Equine Yard Manager overseeing the care and welfare of the college horses and provide a student-centred learning environment. To meet the needs of the equine students as defined by the curriculum staff.
The successful candidate will work alongside the yard team ensuring welfare and care of horses is priority. Working with both curriculum staff and students to fulfil any requests and needs they may have to complete tasks and qualifications.
Ideally, the candidate will be educated in an equine qualification and have worked with horses in a yard environment before. BHS exam standard, with the opportunity to work towards further qualifications.
