A fantastic opportunity to join one of the South West's most exciting employers. The Bristol-based Engineering business is looking for a Buyer to join their expanding procurement team.
Key Responsibilities – Buyer
• Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers that meet the company's standards for quality, cost, and reliability.
• Negotiate contracts, terms, and prices with suppliers
• Manage and monitor supplier performance to ensure compliance with contractual obligations and performance metrics.
• Develop and implement strategies that align with company goals and project time lines.
• Collaborate with the engineering and production teams to understand their material and component requirements.
• Conduct market research to stay informed about industry trends and emerging technologies that could impact supply chain strategies.
• Manage purchase orders, invoices, and delivery schedules to ensure timely receipt of materials and components.
• Assist in the development and maintenance of inventory management systems to optimize stock levels
Qualifications & Requirements – Buyer
• Proven background as a Buyer or similar role within an engineering or manufacturing environment, ideally in the tech or motorsport industry.
• Strong negotiation skills and the ability to establish and maintain effective supplier relationships.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with a keen attention to detail.
• Solid understanding of supply chain processes and dynamics.
• Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
