We are looking for a Neuro Specialist Speech and Language Therapist to join our Community Rehab Team based in Folkestone.

We are a multi-disciplinary team that includes occupational therapists, physiotherapists and therapy assistants. We work within Community Hospitals, patients’ homes and rehabilitation groups to ensure effective discharge planning and a seamless rehabilitation pathway.

We provide short-term rehabilitation to enable patients, where possible, to remain in the community rather than be admitted to hospital or long-term care, and to live as independently as possible. We have close links with Acute Hospitals to ensure patients are able to continue their rehabilitation in the community following discharge from hospital.

We believe in what we do and our patients do to. In our most recent feedback survey we received an overwhelming 98% in positive responses about our team!

You'll be responsible for for ensuring an effective and efficient Speech and Language Therapy (SLT) service is provided for our patients.

You'll be be an integral member of the Community Neuro Team, providing highly specialist knowledge in the area of communication and dysphagia to clients presenting with stroke and other neurological conditions.

You'll also provide line management and clinical supervision to SLTs and support workers as required and routinely take SLT students on placements and may take responsibility as Key Educator for the placement.
