Monday to Friday – 37.5 hours a week

This is a fantastic job opportunity to join a well-established manufacturing company. Our client is looking for someone to join their Export Department at their headquarters in Telford. The successful applicant will report into the Export Team Lead and will work as part of a team to ensure the efficient administration processing of all orders received by the international sales department whilst maintaining export compliance in line with government legislation. It is a fast-paced working environment so the ability to prioritise workload and work under pressure is essential.

Responsibilities and duties will include, but not limited to:

• Export Sales Order processing including acknowledgement, despatch planning, invoicing of orders, credit control monitoring across all brands.
• Raise and log shipping documentation for all exports ensuring customs and HMRC regulations are met.
• Ensure the business stays informed of changes to export regulations and implement changes to meet requirements.
• Obtain and file proof of export documentation for all export shipments.
• Support account managers and distributor customers with pricing, delivery queries, product availability and lead time requests. Liaising with supply chain, warehousing, logistics and manufacturing departments to coordinate.
• Maintain internal systems and raise suggestions to improve departmental efficiency.
• Liaise with freight forwarders and negotiate most competitive freight rates and customer service where applicable. Implement best shipping practice and use of incoterms.
• Arrange export of marketing material for exhibition & open houses.
• Carry out corrective action on customer complaints generated through customer care.
• Support from a customer response perspective to ensure technical queries have been passed to technical and are responded to.

• Preferred experience in a similar Administration/Reception/Customer Service role with comparable goals and responsibilities.
• You should possess a friendly, polite, and upbeat manner on the telephone and understand the importance of delivering an excellent level of service to both internal and external customers.

Education

• The ideal candidate will have a good level of education (to GCSE standard in Maths and English – ideally grade C or above).
• You will also need to be experienced with Microsoft Office Programs including Word and Excel.
