Crynodeb
We are looking for an enthusiastic, proactive and confident individual to work as part of the Samba Rapid Respiratory Testing / Point of Care Testing Team, providing a comprehensive supporting role to all our SRRS staff across all sites. The Point of Care Team co-ordinates the appraisal, introduction, and use of analytical devices in wards, clinics, and departments within the hospital trusts and in the community, allowing quality pathology results to be produced nearer the patient. The equipment overseen by POCT provides results that coverblood gas analysis, full blood count, blood glucose and ketones, and urinalysis. In the last year the POCT services have expanded the scope to include Rapid Covid and respiratory virus testing, working with Emergency departments to achieve safe admissions pathways, community projects targeting Healthcare inequalities and Labkit Hospital@Home projects that support early inpatient discharge and admissions avoidance.
