The Educate Group would love to hear from qualified Tutors interested in joining their existing and successful Alternative Provision team based in Liverpool .

This particular position would suit a passionate and creative Tutor who thrives on working in a challenging yet rewarding environment, inspiring young people to learn. It is important that you have the natural ability and flair to engage and motivate your learners, helping them achieve success through your industry experience and support. Your role will be to develop and deliver high quality learner focussed education, meeting contractual requirements and standards.

Role: Responsible for the delivery of the Alternative Provision Programme on a 2-2-1 basis

Key Duties:

• Plan and deliver an engaging and motivating course to meet the diverse needs of learners, including those with higher needs
• Design and develop resources to support the delivery of the course
• Responsible for the reporting of learner progress, attendance and attainment
• Accurate and timely reporting procedures, including safeguarding and health and safety
• Liaise with parents/carers on a regular basis

Skills and abilities:

• Ability to build relationships with young people
• Ability to communicate effectively with a range of stakeholders
• Ability to develop lesson plans and resources to meet the needs of learners
• Awareness of National Curriculum and relevant key stages
• Driving licence and access to own vehicle

We use our understanding of the education system to help provide you with day-to-day, short and long-term opportunities in schools across the whole of North Wales, Cheshire, and Shropshire.

We have trained thousands of PGCE students who gained their Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and provide the necessary training and support to help aid the time you lost in the classroom through Covid-19.

What experience do I require?

• Experience delivering qualifications to vulnerable young people within an educational setting
• Gain/hold maintain an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check

What skills or qualities do I require?

• Fulfil delivery targets and plans
• Achievement of quality targets, including those related to retention and achievement
• Accurate and timely reports
• Positive contribution to planning and development processes
• Positive team working
• Effective communication and inter-personal skills
• To have a track record of working effectively with young people presenting with challenging behaviour

What registrations do I need to hold?

• An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, but if you don’t have one, you will have to apply for a new one through Educate
