Enerveo is one of the largest contracting businesses in the UK, offering a broad scope of services including mechanical, electrical, high voltage, electrical vehicle (EV) infrastructure installation, test and inspection services, as well as street lighting.

Job Title: Apprenticeship – Highways Electrician

Base Location: Newquay, Exeter, Plymouth, Somerset, Slinfold, Fareham, London, Liverpool, Newcastle Upon Tyne, Stoke and

Salary: First year salary of £16,662, increasing as you progress through the programme plus a range of other benefits to support your family, finances and wellbeing. 

Working Pattern: Full Time, you will attend college in 1 week blocks across the year, travel and accommodation for these will be paid.

Want to Gain Nationally Recognised Qualifications: Earn as you learn with our Level 2 qualification programme. You'll gain valuable hands-on experience while working towards becoming a certified Highways Installation Operative, alongside other industry reconginsed certifications and tickets.

Looking For Guided Support: Throughout your journey, you'll receive guidance from our dedicated Apprenticeship support team, experienced colleagues, and knowledgeable college tutors.

Ambitious - The Sky's the Limit: Upon completion of your Level 2 qualification, you'll have the option to pursue your Level 3 Qualification and become a fully qualified Highways Electrician.

What do I need to be successful in the role?

No prior experience? No problem! All you need is a passion for learning, a strong work ethic, and the determination to succeed. Take the first step towards a rewarding career in the electrical industry. We are open to seeing applications from candidates of all backgrounds, there is no upper age limit, however we do legally need all applicants to be at least 16 years old, and have completed school.

You will need to stay at a specialist training centre in Norwich for 1 week blocks, roughly every 3 months through the 2 year programme. All travel and accommodation will be paid for.

Some of our ‘nice to haves’ are;

A Full UK Driving Licence – if you do not have one at the start of your apprenticeship, we will need you to have passed your driving test by the time you complete it.

If you do not already hold GCSE Maths and English at Grades A-C/ 9-4 then you will need to complete functional studies level 2 during your Apprenticeship with your college tutor supporting you every step of the way.

Previous experience in construction, or electrical works would be a benefit, but not essential
