Job Overview:
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the educational and personal development of students across various age groups. Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one or small group support to students with diverse learning needs.
- Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and contribute to the overall planning of lessons.
- Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
- Support students in developing social and life skills, fostering independence.
- Implement behavior management strategies and contribute to a positive and respectful classroom culture.
- Maintain open and effective communication with teachers, parents, and other stakeholders involved in the students' education.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working as a Learning Support Assistant or in a similar role is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a compassionate and patient approach.
- Flexibility and adaptability to meet the diverse needs of students.
- Basic understanding of educational technology and resources.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Relevant experience in a similar role.
- First Aid and CPR certification.
- Up to date D.B.S check ( or must be willing to apply for one )
