Personal Assistant required for a happy and lively five-year-old boy with sensory processing needs who lives near St Austell.
He would like someone who he can build a positive relationship with and provide him with some 1:1 support.
He requires support with his communication, social skills and sensory needs.
He loves being outdoors, running, climbing, visiting parks and soft play areas; he prefers activities with no set rules where he is free to play.
A personal assistant will enable him to have continued structure during school holidays, which will help him continue his development and support him to bridge gaps in his development with his peers.
Some support is also required after school and early evenings during term time. Rate of pay is £12.50 per hour plus mileage and expenses.
Hours are flexible to accommodate the applicant's schedule, and up to 16 hours per week are available through the school holidays.
Some knowledge or personal experience of working with young people with special educational needs is essential.
The successful applicant will be employed under a private arrangement with the family. We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
All offers of employment are subject to the successful candidate undergoing an enhanced DBS check, which will be facilitated by Cornwall Council.
