No nights, no microwave meals, alternate weekends!

A leading premium care group is now looking for an experienced Second Chef to join the team at their luxury home on the outskirts of Leeds.

You will:

• Cover 10h shifts, with no nights required and only alternate weekends.
• Only be dealing with fresh, seasonal ingredients.
• Have the freedom to get creative in a modern and well-equipped kitchen.
• Have the opportunity to influence nutritious new menus and hone your culinary expertise.

Your role will be all about assisting the Head Chef in creating flavoursome and well-balanced dishes whilst working with residents to tailor menus around them.

This is a great chance to prepare food to hotel/restaurant standards without the split shifts and long weeks.

This is a permanent, full-time position split over four days.

Person specification:

• Hold City & Guilds/NVQ/SVQ or equivalent
• Experience of working with fresh seasonal food
• Good understanding of nutrition
• Good understanding of HACCP
• Able to create a warm and welcoming environment within the home
• Personable approach with a genuine interest in the wellbeing of residents
• Confident in engaging with residents to create appetising menus
