Step Teachers are working closely with a wonderful school in Enfield searching for an Admin & Welfare Assistant to join the team in June 2024. You will act as a general support for administrative duties across the school where needed, and attend to students with minor injuries, due to the nature of this role you must hold a valid Paediatric First Aid certificate.
Admin & Welfare Assistant Role:
- Caring for students who are unwell or have minor injuries. This will include being involved in personal hygiene where necessary
- Providing First Aid support
- Administer First Aid and medication under the school medical policy and as agreed with SLT and parents/carers
- Liaise with SENDCO on Care Plans
- As an Admin & Welfare Assistant, you will monitor First Aid consumables stock and re-ordering when necessary
- To maintain a clean and organised environment (medical room) at all times
Admin & Welfare Assistant Requirements:
- An in-date and valid Paediatric First Aid certificate
- Previous experience in a school setting as an Admin & Welfare Assistant or a similar role
- Verifiable references from previous employers or placements
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Passion for education and supporting the students
