Join the dynamic team at SMT GB Horsham as a Workshop Engineer and take your career to the next level! We have an opportunity for an experienced heavy plant engineer or fitter who is driven by engineering excellence and a commitment to sustainability.
Position: Workshop Engineer
Location: Horsham
Responsibilities:
• Service, maintenance, and repair heavy Volvo construction equipment
• Identify mechanical problems using technical knowledge and computerized systems
• Work within a workshop environment
Requirements:
• Must hold an NVQ Level 3 in Plant Maintenance, Land Based Engineering or HGV Mechanics
• Mechanical experience working on heavy plant machinery
• Comprehensive understanding of hydraulics and electronics
• Ability to work without supervision to a high standard
• Full UK Driving Licence
• Right to work in the UK without the requirement of sponsorship
Benefits:
• Great base salary with annual pay reviews
• Additional London Weighting allowance £2150 (if eligible)
• 38.5 hours per week Monday to Friday with enhanced overtime rates
