MALE ONLY APPLICANTS
Male Acute ward at the Zinnia Centre Birmingham

We are looking for inspirational, innovative and creative individuals who are dedicated to and passionate about caring for people with mental health needs. You will need to possess high quality clinical and interpersonal skills to contribute to and deliver high quality and compassionate care, to service users at the point of discharge.

It’s important that you have an understanding of multidisciplinary services and the challenges that face people with mental health problems. We want to hire staff that are passionate about mental health, who believe in our recovery model and who will act as advocates for the reduction of stigma in our community. You must have an excellent understanding of safeguarding and how to work within professional boundaries.

You will be working within a Multi-Disciplinary Team in providing recovery focused, patient centred care. Staff are required to demonstrate multidisciplinary and multiagency working by actively leading discharge planning, seeking funding and acquiring appropriate accommodation. Endeavour provides specialist care for service users that often have complex discharge needs alongside their mental health needs. Supporting recovery through: reintegration, providing holistic treatments; promoting social inclusion, self-management, personnel autonomy and independence. We pride ourselves on valuing and supporting our staff team, which in turn allows us to deliver compassionate, none judgmental and evidence based care. We see each individual we care for as having the skills and ability to achieve their own personal recovery.

Welcome to Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust. Our 4000 clinical and support staff help us to improve mental health wellbeing and meet the needs of the 70,000 people we serve each year. We provide a range of mental healthcare services across Birmingham and Solihull, as well as specialised services nationally. We also offer medical, nursing and psychology training and are proud of our international reputation for both research and innovation.

Our population is culturally diverse, characterised in places by high levels of deprivation which create an increasing demand for our services and a necessity for us to make sure everyone can access the help they need. We are a team of compassionate, inclusive and committed people working together to provide excellent care to support our community. If you are looking for a place to belong, where you can make a real difference to people’s lives, join our team where our warm welcome is waiting for you.

For further information about the main responsibilities please view the attached job description and person specification.

We highly recommend you submit your application as soon as possible, this post may close earlier than the indicated closing date if a sufficient number of applications are received.
