Summary

Do you want to join our dedicated team of support workers and make a real difference to our members lives? Wanting to be involved in Social Care?

Due to the service expanding, we have an exciting opportunity that has arisen within our Count Me In Service (One to One support) for support workers who are available to work flexibly during weekends.

The role will be to provide one to one support that is tailored to meet the individual needs of the member and fulfil their personal goals. The successful candidate will support our members who have mild, moderate to complex needs and/or challenging behaviour, with learning disabilities, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Asperger’s and mental health difficulties.

If you are an individual that craves variety, a support worker role with People in Action can give you this. No two days are quite the same. You will be supporting members to gain an education, supporting them and developing life skills such as financial budgeting, weekly shopping, attending medical appointments and enjoying fun activities such as meals out, cinema trips and attending community events/groups.

We are looking for an individual with a minimum of 6 months experience working within a care / support work setting. The individual will have the ability to encourage and engage our members to meet their needs and aspirations. It would be advantageous if you were a car driver with business insurance. Expenses are paid for mileage use at 45p per mile.

Flexible hours are available.
