Summary

Job Title: CNC Turner Programmer

Job type: Days based, Perm

Location: Southampton

Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 DOE

Hours: 7:00am 3:30pm

Our client are industry leaders who specialise in the design, manufacture, repair and calibration of load cells, load monitoring and cable working equipment for the offshore, renewable energy, marine, subsea and lifting and rigging industries.

Due to continued growth and recent investment within the company, theyre looking for an experienced CNC Turner Programming/setting and operating the newly purchased CNC Lathe.

The candidate:
⦁ The successful candidate will come with a recognised apprenticeship, or a relevant time served background.
⦁ Set up and operate CNC turning machines to produce components according to specifications.
⦁ Ability to program, set and run CNC turning machinery.
⦁ Develop and modify CNC programs using G-code and CAM software, specifically Fusion360.
⦁ Excellent knowledge of machining stainless steels, specifically 17-4PH, to ensure the correct feed and speed rates are used
⦁ Experience using Fanuc controls
⦁ Ability to read engineering drawings and understanding of ISO tolerances
⦁ Select appropriate cutting tools and ensure their proper installation and calibration.
⦁ Monitor the machining process to ensure the production of parts that meet quality standards and specifications.
⦁ Identify and resolve any issues or malfunctions in the CNC turning process.
⦁ Perform routine maintenance on CNC machines to ensure their optimal performance.
⦁ Work closely with other team members, including engineers and quality control staff to achieve production goals.
⦁ Adhere to safety processes and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
⦁ Ensuring delivery dates / internal milestones are met set by the Workshop Manager.
