We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and highly motivated individual to join our team within the Womens and Childrens Group, covering initially Gynaecology. This role is ideal for anyone who is looking to broaden their operational experience as a Manager within the NHS and acute services.

The post holder will need to have NHS operational management experience, be a highly visible and credible manager and have strong leadership qualities. A focus on ensuring the development and provision of a comprehensive, high quality, patient centered services. The candidate will need to have excellent interpersonal skills allowing them to work closely with Administrative, Senior Management and Clinical Teams etc.
They must be able to raise the profile of the group across the organisation and critically, they must be passionate about delivering a world class service to patients.

This role will provide operational management and support to specialties within a clinical group. Supporting the Associate Group Manager and Group Management Team in the delivery of a high quality, efficient and patient centered service in line with national and local Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). The post holder will provide day to day operational management of assigned clinical services, supporting the development and provision of a comprehensive, high quality, patient centered care service within the resources available.

The post holder is responsibility for the improvement and delivery of scheduling and utilisation targets related to both theatres and outpatients and to support delivery of performance against financial and activity targets.

The role will manage and oversee all administrative teams and functions for the service, including the management of service waiting lists and delivery of utilisation targets.

1. Work with the Group Manager & Associate Group Manager ensuring clear communicationand robust operational implementation of policy, business objectives and agreed targets across the department.

2. Support theGroupManager &AssociateGroupManagerwiththeoperationalmanagement of services and supporting continuous service improvement.

3. Responsible for day-to-day delivery of operational performance within assigned services to achieve delivery of national and local targets and the development and delivery of improvement plans.

4. Responsibleforassignedbudgetsasbudgetarysignaturee.g.Admincostcentrebudgets.

5. Implement HR and governance strategies and policies within relevant services to achieve compliancy with Trust policies and procedures, best practice, relevant legislation and regulatory provisions.

6. Responsible for the improvement and delivery of utilisation targets by ensuring effective and efficient usage of service capacity including Theatres, Treatment Rooms, Outpatients, andday units.
