They are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant with experience in Special Educational Needs (SEN) to join their supportive team. The successful candidate will work closely with teachers to support SEN pupils, ensuring they have access to a high-quality education tailored to their individual needs.
- Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for SEN students.
- Provide one-on-one or small group support to pupils with a range of SEN, including learning difficulties, physical disabilities, and emotional and behavioral needs.
- Support the class teacher in creating an inclusive classroom environment.
- Monitor and record pupil progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents.
- Help with classroom management and organization.
- Assist with personal care and mobility needs if required.
- Participate in staff meetings and professional development sessions.
- Foster positive relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues.
- Relevant qualifications in education or child care (e.g. , CACHE Level 2/3, NVQ, or equivalent).
- Previous experience working with children with SEN in an educational setting.
- Knowledge of SEN strategies and interventions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with children with additional needs.
