Our Capita legal team are looking to recruit and Paralegal Legal Operations to support operations across the Legal Function.
As the Paralegal Legal Operations you will support our Deputy General Counsel with all legal operations activity across the function. You'll be assisting with all Legal Function operation activities aimed at achieving increased operational efficiency / improving service excellence across Capita.
The successful candidate will come from a legal academic background, preferably with in-house experience, working as a paralegal, legal co-ordinator, compliance or legal operations role and interested in undertaking supporting legal advisory work.

• Under supervision providing support to all lawyers in the team as required but including
Conducting legal research and providing legal advice in the areas of law applicable to the role
• Preparing and collating documents, correspondence, forms and checklists under supervision of the lawyers. This includes providing marked up red line, clean and comparison documents. Maintaining version control and drafts. Proof reading. Preparing mail and enclosures for dispatch. Obtaining signatures.
• Drafting contracts, amendments to contracts, legal correspondence, and advice notes
• Assisting with managing our legal suppliers, in particular our legal panel firms and liaising with their billing departments.
• Producing reports on monthly spend vs. budget with a view to identifying cost saving opportunities and efficiencies. Processing of Service Request Forms, Purchase Orders and Legal Invoices
• Organising team meetings and create and manage presentations, agenda and actions.
• Legal file management: including the opening, closing, archiving and retrieval of Legal files in accordance with the appropriate procedures.
What we're looking for:
• Law degree or experience in the areas of law applicable to the role
• In-house experience preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills. Competent levels of Power Point, Word and Excel Skills. Familiarity with an e-billing tool such as legal tracker would be an advantage'
• Excellent communication, interpersonal organisational and presentation skills, strong research and report generating skills.
• Experience of working in a fast paced, team-oriented environment.
• Research and analytical skills, attention to detail.
• Project management and prioritisation skills with good time management
• Professional and personal integrity, with a collaborative and approachable with strong interpersonal skills.
