Crynodeb

A great opportunity has arisen for a senior AHP or nurse to manage a strong therapy team within children’s community services. This is a great time to join the team where we are focussing on quality services and recruiting apprentices to “grow our own”.

Never been a Team Leader before, do not worry – we are seeking experienced staff and would support you to develop your leadership skills. As a senior team within children’s community services we meet for a daily safety huddle to discuss any issues and immediate problems that need to be managed, facilitating great team work and support.

You will also be supported by monthly supervision, annual appraisals and to develop your leadership skills through training and experience.

This post is parttime (22.5 hrs/wk) and permanent. For further information or to arrange an informal chat, please contact Joelle Wrigley joelle.wrigley@nhs.net

The post-holder will take a key operational role in the everyday delivery of the children’s physiotherapy and occupational therapy services.

The post-holder will lead a team of therapists and champion gold standard care, working closely with colleagues in adult services to improve transition pathways. You will deliver service improvements, within QI methodologies and focussed on evidence-based practice and coproduction with children and young people and their families.

The post holder will take a lead role in Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) within the teams and ensure all staff keep up to date with improvements, new staff are aware of their responsibilities and an audit system is in place to monitor the quality of health advices provided by your team.

Blackpool Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is ideally situated just a forty five minute drive from Manchester. The Trust provides services to the 440,000 residents of Blackpool, Fylde & Wyre and North Lancashire, as well as specialist tertiary care for Cardiac and Haematology patients.
