Position: Pre-School Manager

Job Type: Permanent contract - Term time only

Worlingham Pre-School is looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Pre-school Manager to lead our team of dedicated staff. Worlingham Pre-School is a charity run pre-school that has been providing the children of Worlingham a learning through play in a safe nurturing way environment since 1977.

Key Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to the following)

· To be responsible for providing high-quality education and learning for the children at Worlingham Pre-School

· Ensure there is smooth day-today running of the preschool

· To have an appropriate action plan in place which enables the setting to achieve and maintain a minimum good Ofsted rating at the next inspection.

· Ensure staff are appropriately supported to carry out their role effectively and are up to date

· To liaise with the Management Committee/trustees, Ofsted services and other professionals as necessary and ensure that all legal and statutory requirements are implemented, and to provide reports as required.

Personal Specification

Essential Criteria

· A minimum Level 3 early years education and childcare qualification (that is recognised by the department of Education).

· Safeguarding Training

· DBS and be on the update service

· 3+ years experience working in early years setting

· 1+ years experience in a Leadership Role with in a Early years setting or helping to run a similar service.

All Successful applicants will need to undertake an enhanced Discloser and Barring Services (DBS) and provide two satisfactory references prior to their employment.
