Crynodeb

Rutland is one of the best places in the country to live, learn, work, play and visit. We may be the smallest Unitary Authority in England, but we can offer fantastic opportunities to make a real difference to the lives of the residents in our local community.

We are looking for a Transport Inspector to join our Transport Operations Team based at Oakham Enterprise Park

The role will require you to enforce local authority contracts in relation to school buses, taxis and monitoring of public bus services. You will need to be able to record required information, complete spreadsheets and create reports for senior officers and audit purposes. You may also be required to go into schools to give talks and presentations to pupils.

If you are a confident, self- motivated individual with the ability to interact effectively with people from all walks of life, to manage your time effectively and keep accurate records, we would love to hear from you.
You will need to be prepared to work flexibly to meet the requirements of the role and hold a current full driving licence with access to a vehicle.

Further information about the role can be found in the accompanying Job Description and Person Specification.

The successful applicant for this post will be subject to an enhanced check by the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS). The costs for the DBS are paid by us.

The Transport Inspector interviews will be held on 26th and 27th June 2024.
Please be advised this could be subject to change, in which case we will give appropriate notice.

We will be reviewing applications on a regular basis and inviting those who meet our essential person specification criteria to interview. If you’re interested in this role, we strongly encourage you to apply without delay.
