Duties:
The key duties of the Italian Head Chef include the following:
· Menu Planning: Creating and developing new menus based on seasonal ingredients, customer preferences, and dietary requirements.
· Recipe Development: Designing and refining recipes to ensure consistent quality and presentation of dishes.
· Food Quality Control: Ensuring that all dishes leaving the kitchen meet the expected taste, appearance, and portion standards.
· Problem Solving: Addressing any kitchen-related issues promptly, such as equipment malfunctions or staff conflicts.
· Plans and co-ordinates kitchen work such as fetching, clearing and cleaning of equipment and utensils.
· Long-Term Planning: Developing long-term strategies for the kitchen's growth and success, and aligning them with the restaurant's overall goals.
Skills and Qualifications required:
The proposed Italian Head Chef shall be required to have the following skills and qualifications:
· Previous experience working as a Italian chef in a restaurant.
· Experience working with a similar cuisine, this being modern and nostalgic Italian style pizzas.
· Great English language communication skills with a willingness to learn
· Ability to write, maintain and follow recipes, processes and standards
· Drive and ambition with a desire to learn and grow within the team
· Full ownership in your role
· Ability to lead the team from the front and maintain a safe working environment
· Understand labour budgets, food margins and P&L accounts
