Join us as a Transaction Support Associate

  • We’ll look to you to assist in the operational risk management of our Repo & Risk Transformation and Firm Financing business lines within our Private Financing franchise
  • You’ll focus on new and existing transactions as you work with our support functions including the Middle Office, Operations and Finance teams
  • It’s an opportunity to apply your creative thinking skills to the design of new processes, optimisation of existing processes, and automation of management information

What you'll do

As a Transaction Support Associate, you’ll be working with Private Financing Trading to control and improve the operational risk management of the Repo & Risk Transformation and Firm Financing business lines.

Understanding the risk run by the business, you’ll participate and take the lead on initiatives including the standardisation of new transaction reporting to our support functions, the optimisation and prioritisation of collateral in triparty sets, improvements to deal trigger monitoring processes, and running the monthly portfolio stress testing processes including shortfalls calculations.

You’ll also be:

  • Working with Technology, Middle Office, Operations, and other key stakeholders to further develop and automate the trade booking, settlement and reporting infrastructure
  • Ensuring data integrity and working with relevant teams to resolve issues
  • Assisting with the generation of the monthly financial resource picture, such as revenues, RWA’s, leverage and funding for the desk, and working with the Structuring team to build a picture of future usage

The skills you'll need

To take on this role, you’ll need extensive financial service experience with a focus on structured transactions and fixed income products, including repo, securities lending, TRS, STIR, FX, CDS, IRS, cross-currency basis swaps, bond borrows and structured notes.

You’ll also need:

  • A versatile skill set with exceptional written and verbal communication skills and a highly quantitative mindset
  • Proficiency in Excel, Python or programming
  • An excellent academic background, ideally in a highly quantitative subject such as Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, Finance, Financial Economics or Computing
  • The ability to multi-task and to work well under pressure
