Fire Safety Advisor

Yeovil, Somerset - BA20

Monday to Friday, 08:00-17:00

An exciting and new opportunity has come up working for one of the largest FM companies across the UK with an annual operating revenue of £17b. This company operates in 55 countries and has 100 million customers each day through various parts of the business. This gigantic company covers the hard and soft services across some of the largest clients within the commercial, domestic and industrial industry as well as on-site food catering, personal & home services.

We're recruiting for a Fire Safety Advisor to join a team across a facility which specializes in the design and manufacturing aircrafts, first established in 1915 this client has over 3,300 employees and is known producing the highest quality of aircrafts.

Experience/Qualifications for a Fire Safety Advisor:

• Professional certifications in Fire Risk Assessment or Fire Safety (CFPA, NEBOSH Fire Certificate, Level 4 Diploma).
• Minimum GIFireE qualification or equivalent with a background in Fire Safety Management.
• Membership of relevant bodies (e.g., NAHFO, IFE, IFSM, IOSH).
• Experience conducting Fire Risk Assessments and inspections.
• Experience in Hazardous Area Classification
• Detailed knowledge of relevant fire safety legislation and regulations.
• Experience with DSEAR/ATEX Risk Assessments and hazardous area classification.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Understanding of UK Statutory Regulations in Health, Safety & Environment.
• Ability to engage effectively with people internally and externally
• At least 10 years' experience, of which 5 must have involved the responsibility for carrying out DSEAR and Fire Risk Assessments
• A team player who can demonstrate a collaborative style of working that enhances business/project performance
