Summary

The Grace Eyre Foundation is a charity based in Brighton & Hove and the wider Sussex community that has been working with people with a Learning Disability and autistic people since 1898. Our mission is to work towards being led by people with Learning Disabilities and autistic people to deliver high-quality housing, support and activities in their local communities. Introduction to the role:
Your role will be to support people with mental health diagnosis, a learning disability, autistic people, and other complex needs with their day-to-day activities in a supported living service. The support we offer is person centred and differs from person to person. You will need to have good adaptive communication skills.
We are looking for people who are patient, resilient, compassionate, understanding, and able to use their own initiative and work independently. We are a support team, and the role includes sleep in shifts and lone working. It is a rewarding and varied role and one that really makes a difference to the lives of the people we support. It helps them to live a fulfilled life and achieve their goals and dreams with a little help from people who care. Some care experience in supporting people either professionally or personally is preferred for this role.


Brief outline of the role:
We are a unique supported living service supporting people with varying needs in a shared home. Our support can range from supporting people with medication, finances, being out in the community, daily living skills and emotional support.

The people we support have asked for staff who are friendly, fun, nice to talk, listen to us and are helpful.
