About the role:
We now have an exciting opportunity for a candidate with a genuine passion for the subject to join our Academic Studies team as a T-Level Chemistry Teacher at Reading College.
We are looking for motivated, enthusiastic, and positive individuals with the ability to inspire, so that our Science students have a memorable learning experience.
Our students are eager to learn, and we want to appoint someone who can provide them with a high level of chemistry knowledge and skill that they can utilise in their careers. A genuine interest in working with and developing young people is a requirement.
With your excellent subject knowledge, you will work collaboratively with our existing team of talented and passionate teachers to ensure we plan and deliver our T-Level Chemistry provision.
Our state- of-the-art science laboratories and applied science centre at Reading College also provides our students with a unique opportunity to practice and refine their skills in preparation for work experience placements and future employment. This is a permanent, part-time position working 20 hours per week (0.54 FTE) at Reading College Campus. Additional hours teaching other science subjects are available for candidates with broader experience.
What do you need to be successful as a Chemistry Teacher at Activate Learning?
Successful candidates will have an appropriate professional science qualification or experience, as well as having experience teaching at T-Level, A-Level or equivalent. In addition, you will need to have a flexible approach, coupled with excellent organisational and interpersonal skills. You will have an open mindset and attitude towards technology and virtual learning tools. Along with current Maths and English skills, you will also demonstrate the ability to engage and develop students and role model the attributes that we develop within our learners.
