Summary

We have a new opportunity for a Commercial Manager to join an award winning Housing Developer, who have been building quality homes for over 20 years. This exceptional opportunity requires a Commercial Manager to oversee and manage the surveying and procurement teams to ensure that construction projects are finished effectively, on schedule, within budget, and to the appropriate quality.

Commercial Manager Duties: - Aid in the settlement of conflicts, including the assessment of tenders, relationship building, and supply chains with sustainable social values. - Lead, oversee, and manage the procurement and surveying teams to effectively finish projects on schedule, under budget, and with the appropriate level of quality. - Oversee the creation of comprehensive budgets that are in line with the project's objectives and timelines and closely monitor them throughout the project's life cycle. - Manage the development of realistic and detailed cost estimates for each project, considering labour, equipment, materials, and overhead. - Find the correct balance between quality, cost, and time will be ensured by allocating resources as efficiently and affordably as possible. - You will also routinely evaluate resource utilisation and make any necessary improvements.

Commercial Manager Criteria: - Degree in commercial management or quantity surveying - Five to ten years minimum of experience developing houses; excellent management and leadership abilities. - Exceptional organising skills - Outstanding communication both in writing and speaking. - Good judgement - A financial and commercially adept critical thinker who is at ease working under pressure and with conflicting demands. - Comprehensive knowledge and comprehension of procurement and surveying as they relate to the building process.
