(Band 7 preceptorships available for less experienced candidates)

This role will input into AdultOrthoplastics(0.6WTE) andMajor Trauma(0.2WTE) at Manchester Royal Infirmary, MFT (you will be employed via a service level agreement that GMMH hold with MFT).

The post will equally suit candidates interested in gaining valuable early career experience in a preceptorship role (Band 7) or more experienced candidates commencing in highly specialist roles (Band 8A). The role will be embedded within the relevant medical/surgical MDTs, working alongside a wide range of professionals (including practitioner psychology colleagues) in both inpatient and outpatient settings in a busy acute hospital.

Suitable for candidates interested in working full time/part time (job share)

Provision of high quality, evidence-based psychological care to patients and their families and carers of respective medical/surgical speciality.

Support the ongoing improvement of psychological pathways in speciality.

Provision of consultation, training and supervision to MDT colleagues around issues pertaining to psychological models of working such as stepped care and trauma informed practice.

Working autonomously with an appropriate clinical caseload.

Research, service development and project work.

Opportunities to develop additional competencies/undertake CPD and professional training in keeping with yearly appraisal/service needs as well as objectives of the wider physical health psychological services across Greater Manchester.
