Position: Support Worker

Location: Various (Local travel required)

We are seeking dedicated individuals to join our team as Support Workers. In this role, attention to detail is crucial. You will be responsible for writing detailed notes on the young service users' emotions, interactions with colleagues and family members, conversations in person and on the phone, food diaries, and daily routines. Additionally, you will partake in activities with the young person and assist in managing their finances, ensuring receipts are kept for each transaction.

Identifying and reporting any safeguarding issues is a key aspect of this role to support the young person's development and keep them on track. You will encounter challenging behaviour and a range of mental health issues and disabilities, so relevant experience is advantageous.

We provide comprehensive training, including online courses and TMVA training, to help you effectively de-escalate heightened situations. Maintaining a professional manner while collaborating with the local authority and ourselves is essential to foster positive relationships with the young person, us, and the local authority.

Responsibilities:
- Supporting vulnerable and challenging children with various mental health issues
- Assisting with care plans, risk assessments, reviews, and incident and accident reporting
- Providing physical and emotional support, including household tasks and personal care
- Contributing to individual programmes by supporting learning, independence, and experiences
- Building relationships with children and providing high levels of care and support
- Supporting routines, from household activities like waking up and getting out of bed, to external activities
- Maintaining professional relationships with clients, family, and external healthcare professionals, adhering to company policies and procedures

Required Skills:
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think on your feet
- Emotional resilience
- High levels of professionalism and a non-judgemental attitude
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- DBS check
- Driving licence preferred, as locations can vary
- Level 3 qualification in Health and Social Care or a relevant subject preferred

- Travel expenses paid at 45p per mile (to be agreed per client)
