Additional Learning Needs Mentor

Primary School-Based Role

ALN Experience ESSENTIAL

Are you looking for a rewarding role assisting children in a primary school setting to advance their education? Do you have experience working with children or adults with additional learning needs? If so, we would love to hear from you!

Our partner primary schools across Swansea and Llanelli are seeking experienced individuals for full-time hours (08:30 am - 15:30 pm) Monday to Friday. You will work across EYFS-KS2, covering general classroom duties and providing 1:1 support for children with moderate and severe additional learning needs.

If you have direct experience working in a school, come from a caring background, or have extensive personal experience with children, please get in touch to discuss this opportunity.

Minimum Requirements:
- 5 GCSEs (Grades A-C) minimum or equivalent
- Relevant experience that will support your application
- Enhanced DBS for the Child Workforce on the update service (we can assist with this)
- EWC registration (we can assist with this)
- Dedicated and motivated to work well with others
- Committed to making a positive change
- Welsh language skills preferred but not essential

As some schools are located in rural areas, having your own means of transport is essential to access the school.

What We Offer:
- Competitive rates
- Your own personal consultant
- In-house app to assist with bookings
- Consistency between you and the schools

Please apply and attach your CV. We look forward to hearing from you!

All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role. All pay rates quoted will include 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. We undertake safeguarding checks on all workers in accordance with DfE statutory guidance 'Keeping Children Safe in Education,' which may also include an online search as part of our due diligence on shortlisted applicants.

We offer all our registered candidates FREE child protection and prevent duty training. All candidates must undertake or have undertaken a valid enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. Full assistance is provided.
