We are looking for a Forklift Driver Leading Hand to join our Abernethy Site. You will be responsible with assisting the Sizing & Intake Team Leader in day-to-day Yard & intake operations at our fresh potato factory.

To be our next Forklift Driver Leading hand you will need to have a valid counterbalance license and effective communication skills. Previous experience in a similar role and understanding of intake operations would be advantageous. The working environment within food manufacturing is fast paced and susceptible to change, meaning you will need to adapt, and react accordingly to a varied workload. Examples of duties include;

Operations- Be a hands-on support for the intake team, loading and unloading lorries with potato boxes / raw material and storing in allocated bays. Support the Sizing & Intake Team leader with spatial management of the yard area, taking ownership of safe stacking and storage.
Raw Materials- Be responsible for accurate labelling & storage of raw material for traceability purposes, with data systems updated to reflect.
Training- Act as a mentor and train new starts, ensuring relevant work instructions and procedures are followed, and paperwork completed to reflect.
Compliance- Ensure team are following standard operating procedures across all shift, and working area complies with audit standards.
Health & Safety- Act as a role model for H&S, always exhibiting safe behaviours and adhering to site procedures.
