Due to restrictions on the number of certificates we can issue at present, candidates without an existing visa or right to work in the UK are unlikely to be suitable for the advertised post.

An opportunity has arisen in our North Lanarkshire area to support an individual with autism and complex needs. We are looking for Support Workers to assist them within the community by building relationships, going on long walks, being active, promoting their independence etc.

The main qualities individuals should possess in order to be successful in this role are: patience, friendliness and to have an understanding of the Service Users support needs.

Main responsibilities:

  • Assisting clients to day-to-day activities of their choice.
  • Supporting and encouraging the promotion of a healthy lifestyle.
  • Participating in the implementation and monitoring of individual support plans.
  • Providing support in all aspects of personal care.
  • Carry out housekeeping duties and day to day tasks.
  • Assist clients with managing finances.
  • Utilise all communication methods to listen and talk to clients to promote their wellbeing.
  • Encourage the relationships that our clients have with family, friends, and the wider community.
  • Maintain and promote our client’s independence.
  • Be mindful of adult protection issues and report accordingly.
  • At all times, be mindful of equality and diversity, and behave culturally sensitive manner.

Desirable Requirements:

  • Experience of working in a complex service
  • Full UK Driving License

You do not need to have any experience; we are just looking for individuals who have a real passion for enhancing the experiences of our service users, helping them to live an independent life.
