Summary
Hours: 17 hours and 30 minutes per week, term time only. Monday to Friday, 8:40am – 12.10pm Salary: Hay 10 (£24702 - £25979 FTE per annum)This is a permanent position.
We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, child-centred and proactive Teaching Assistant to become part of our new and exciting SEN team to support learners within KS2 to be successful, confident and independent individuals.
This role will involve closely supporting individuals within whole classes as well as running interventions for small groups to enable all to be successful within learning.
We are looking for a candidate who has particular skills in the following areas:
• An understanding and experience of supporting and championing learners with Autistic traits
• A knowledge of how to develop independence in learners
• Ability to establish and develop positive relationships
• Is able to support young people to regulate emotions
• Can support learners to manage difficulties with focus and concentration
• Able to support learners to develop self-confidence and resilienceWe also have a Lunchtime Supervisor position available which can work well with this role if you are looking for additional hours.
