Step Teachers are seeking a qualified Teaching Assistant to join an Ofsted-rated 'Good' children's centre in the heart of Islington. The pre-school is looking for a Teaching Assistant with a Level 3 TA/Early Years qualification but may consider someone unqualified with extensive experience working with 0-5 year' olds.
This is a permanent position. The pre-school is open all year round. Hours of work: 9-5pm or 9-6pm (discussed at interview)
Teaching Assistant Role:
- Supporting children's social, emotional, and intellectual development through interactive play and learning experiences
- Providing individualised attention and support to children with varying needs and abilities
- Maintaining a safe and hygienic environment for children at all times
- Providing feedback to parents and carers on children’s progress and achievements
- As a Teaching Assistant, you must foster a safe and inclusive atmosphere
Teaching Assistant Requirements:
- Previous experience working within an Early Years Setting is essential
- A genuine passion for working with children and supporting their growth and development
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A relevant qualification in childcare is desirable
- Relevant Level 3 or above qualification
