Commitment - 0.5 WTE (5 sessions per week)
Clinical component – The West Region of Scotland Fellowship normally consists of five sessions per week working in the Glasgow Homeless Unit. In the South East and East there will be 2 to 3 sessions in the Access practice. This includes the provision of general medical services but with an emphasis on the general practice aspects of high deprivation. The part time posts will allow time to continue to develop generalist skills in the context of service general practice (eg through a locum appointment) while undertaking a tailored programme of exposure and training in relation to the Fellowship.
The Academic component will involve being attached to the regional NES Postgraduate GP unit with opportunities to become involved with educational developments, quality assurance initiatives and evaluation/research. Individuals will be encouraged to start a postgraduate qualification relevant to the Fellowship.
