Crynodeb

Personnel Selection are pleased to be working with a family-owned business based in Bognor, who are looking to hire a Mechanical Engineer to join their team. This is an innovative business, with origins from around 30 years ago and an interesting growth story.

The Mechanical Engineer will oversee the engineering functions for the Offshore product range, taking responsibility for the technical content and documentation control of the existing products, while making improvements and resolving issues. The position also owns the New Product Introduction (NPI) process, taking any new customer enquiries or problems and turning them into new viable products, which hopefully exceed customer expectations.

The client is looking for someone on a full time basis and can be flexible with start and finish times.

Benefits include:

    • 30 days holiday (inc bank holidays)
    • Paid sick leave
    • 4.5 day week (early finish Friday)
    • Professional development and training
    • Free lunch 3 days a week
    • Free on-site parking

We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Engineer with a great attitude, that aligns with our clients values, including being prepared to always put the customer first and ensuring your work is completed to the best of your ability. We want an individual who has a positive 'can-do' approach and is a natural problem solver with a willingness to take appropriate risks in order to achieve innovative results.

The role will suit someone with the following skills:

    • HNC or above in Mechanical Engineering discipline
    • A minimum of 4 years engineering experience in a manufacturing environment of mechanical products.
    • Sheet metal processing, CNC turning, and pressure die-casting experience are particularly desirable.
    • Products for harsh environments and constructed from high grade stainless steel are also particularly desirable.
    • Strong business acumen including the ability to understand the manufacturing process and how cost impacts the overall business.
    • CAD experience, ideally competent in SolidWorks or similar software.

Please do send your CV now for immediate consideration!
