Crynodeb
Substantial knowledge around the use of Tobacco, other substance use associated harms, health complexities and treatments. Ability to practice effective motivational interviewing skills. Demonstrate experience in delivering evidence based psychosocial interventions to support health behaviour change. Attend training relevant to the post to enhance competence. Ability to deliver training to a range of professionals. Hold excellent IT skills including database input. Self-awareness around limitations of skills and competencies and ability to work within them. Knowledge of Tobacco related harms and treatment options. Experience of working in health promotion/healthcare setting Ability to use carbon monoxide measurement including interpretation of the results and record data as appropriate. Where appropriate, give advice on the provision of pharmacotherapy such as Nicotine Replacement Therapy (NRT), acting as a resource in line with locally agreed protocols. Understanding of health inequalities and the wider determinants of health.
